DTI partners with Mayani for the Grand Bagsakan

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) and DTI-Region II will hold a “Grand Bagsakan” on March 26, 2021 in partnership with Mayani and GCash. The DTI-BDTP initiated the Bagsakan project in 2020 to provide a regular venue for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including farmers and cooperatives, to sell their products during the pandemic.

What differentiates the “Grand Bagsakan” from other Bagsakan events is the volume and variety of fresh produce available for sale from the Cagayan Valley Region and the use of the Mayani.ph e-commerce platform in pre-ordering selected products. Buyers can pre-order by clicking on https://cutt.ly/BAGSAKAN or https://mayani.ph/pages/the-grand-bagsakan.

For as low as fifty pesos (P50), buyers can purchase a vegetable basket with half a kilo each of repolyo, kamatis, kalabasa, wombok and sayote. Pre-orders will be accepted before Wednesday, 24 March at 12nn for pick-up at the DTI Head Office in Makati or delivery to buyers’ homes on March 26, Friday.

For safety and convenience, the DTI-BDTP highly encourages buyers to pre-order online and opt for home delivery. Transactions are made safer and more convenient through GCash. Walk-in customers may also shop in person at the Grand Bagsakan on Friday at the DTI Parking Lot along Jupiter Street, Bel-air, Makati City. Strict social distancing and health protocols shall be observed. Mayani will strictly accept GCash payments only for pre-orders and for walk-in purchases.

The Grand Bagsakan is expected to move tons of fresh produce from Region 2 (Cagayan Valley Region) to Metro Manila as it will be held once a month at the DTI Parking Lot starting March 26 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mark your calendars to save the dates for the succeeding Grand Bagsakan events:
